Job summary

Coinhako is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our data team and support the numbers Finance relies on. You will learn how we reconcile figures, automate checks, and help produce reliable month-end reports from production data.

Day to day you’ll write SQL and Python to pull and validate financial data, build dashboards, and document dataset definitions so the next person doesn’t have to ask. No professional experience is required; curiosity and careful, methodical work are what we value.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; focus on how you think and how carefully you work.
• Currently studying or recently graduated in a numerate field (data, statistics, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering)
• SQL — you have written queries with joins and aggregations, and can read someone else’s
• Some Python, for analysis or automation
• You’re careful with numbers and check your own output before sharing
• You’re comfortable saying I don’t know and asking why a number is what it is
• Clear written communication – you can explain discrepancies to non-technical people

Responsibilities

• Reconcile financial figures against independent sources and explain any differences
• Investigate discrepancies to determine if a report is correct
• Trace a number back to its source
