Job description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

We are seeking an entry-level Data Analyst for the Material Library to join the team supporting VF FW & EQ brands in material creation, management, and governance.

The Data Analyst, Material Library, will be responsible for materials selection analysis and standardizing library processes across VF brands. You will collaborate with the Materials Sourcing and Brand teams to implement material selection processes that enable VF brands to leverage a consolidated materials library.

This role requires a strong data analysis background, interest or knowledge in material sciences, and basic project management skills. It is key in improving efficiency, enabling material leverage across regions, and optimizing material spend.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Including but not limited to:

  • MATERIAL DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
  • Track brand material development and carry-over utilization, analyze data, and provide insights to drive scale and cross-brand leverage
  • Support new material development with data analysis, understanding material attributes to recommend alternatives to brand teams
  • Maintain data accuracy in the material library, working with suppliers to close data gaps and conduct audits
  • PROCESS ADHERENCE AND IMPROVEMENT
  • Facilitate material library curation during product development, ensuring SOP compliance
  • Train and onboard sourcing and brand teams on library processes
  • Develop tools and reports to support effective material comparisons considering historical use, feel, qualities, and cost
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to influence behavior and meet business needs
  • Assist in planning and executing projects related to the material library, such as consolidation and cost-saving initiatives
  • Support ad-hoc data requests, including reporting on material counts and usage

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • 1-3 years of experience in operations or product development (fresh graduates welcome)
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative/STEAM field
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Proficiency in data processing tools like Excel VBA, Power Query, Knime, or Alteryx
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach
  • Good stakeholder management skills
