Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop a team of data analysts
2. Train and mentor junior staff in data analysis and reporting
3. Implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights
4. Develop, implement and maintain databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
5. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and provide insights to help make business decisions
6. Present data-driven recommendations to the executive team using statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare reports for senior management
7. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
8. Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to understand data needs, identify opportunities for process improvement
9. Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources and security
10. Oversee the collection, processing, and interpretation of large sets of data
11. Develop and implement data analytics strategies that enhance business operations
12. Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget
13. Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
14. Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements
15. Design and maintain data systems and databases; including fixing coding errors and related problems
16. Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and all data collection methods meet legal regulations and standards

Requirements

1. Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
2. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Data Analytics Manager or similar role
3. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming
4. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
6. Experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining, would be advantageous
7. Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
8. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
