The Data Governance Data Scientist will play a key role in transforming and operationalising the Bank’s data governance processes.
The role combines data governance, workflow automation, AI agent development and stakeholder management, with responsibility for progressively automating existing Data Management and Governance activities and establishing scalable, technology-enabled ways of working.
The candidate will be responsible for transforming existing Data Management and Governance activities using automation and AI agents and continue to manage the agents of these activities.
The incumbent will build, deploy and manage agents that support governance processes, including monitoring their operation, managing exceptions and continuously improving their effectiveness.
These workflows include the operationalisation and oversight of Critical Reports and Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data quality monitoring, issue management and committee-related processes.
The candidate will also partner closely with stakeholders across the Bank to operationalise data governance over Critical Reports and expand this engagement to key business processes.
In addition, the incumbent will pioneer the establishment of the Bank's enterprise ontology, developing a structured representation of key business concepts and the relationships between data, business processes, systems, controls and other governance objects.
This will establish a stronger semantic foundation for data discovery, governance and future AI/agent use cases.
