Job summary

Siemens Singapore is seeking a Data & AI Intern to join our vibrant team. You will assist with data collection, validation and analysis, and help build dashboards using Power BI while exploring AI use cases with guidance from IT and business teams.

We value applicants pursuing IT/CS/Data Science degrees, with basic SQL knowledge and exposure to Azure/Power Platform. A six-month internship and being enrolled with your educational institution for the full duration are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an IT/CS/Data Science/Engineering degree or diploma at a recognised university or polytechnic.
• Minimum six-month internship and continued enrolment for the full duration.
• Interest in Data & AI with basic understanding of data analytics or AI concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL/databases and exposure to data visualisation tools like Power BI; Python or C#/.NET is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform or related data/AI technologies is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, analyse problems, communicate well, and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection, preparation, validation and analysis to identify trends for reports and dashboards.
• Support development of dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
• Explore AI and Generative AI use cases, evaluate outputs for accuracy and quality.
• Identify opportunities to apply data and AI to business processes and practical use cases.
• Assist with developing, testing and debugging solutions using Python and C#/.NET.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams, maintain clear documentation while complying with security and confidentiality requirements.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Supporting data analysis and reporting: Assist with data collection, preparation, validation and analysis, and help identify trends for reports and dashboards.
• Creating data visualisations: Support the development of dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI to present data clearly and effectively.
• Exploring AI solutions: Support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI use cases, including exploring AI agents and evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and quality.
• Identifying Data & AI opportunities: Explore ways to apply data and AI technologies to business processes and practical use cases.
• Supporting application development and automation: Assist with developing, testing and debugging solutions using technologies such as Python and C#/.NET.
• Collaborating and documenting solutions: Work with IT and business teams to support solution testing and maintain clear, structured documentation, while following company security, confidentiality and compliance requirements.

Your defining qualities:

• Relevant academic background: Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering or a related field at a recognised university or polytechnic.
• Internship availability: Able to commit to a minimum six-month internship and remain enrolled with your educational institution for the full duration.
• Interest in Data & AI: Demonstrate a basic understanding of, or strong interest in, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI.
• Technical foundations: Have basic knowledge of SQL or databases and exposure to data visualisation tools such as Power BI; knowledge of Python or C#/.NET would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Microsoft technologies: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform or other data and AI technologies would be advantageous.
• Learning and collaborative mindset: Bring a willingness to learn and adapt, an analytical and problem-solving mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionalism and accountability.
