Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, Singapore, is seeking an IT Security Officer (Consultant) to strengthen security operations and governance for government projects. The role involves overseeing vendors, testing cycles and providing expert consultancy to ensure resilience against cyber threats.

The position requires 4–7 years in cybersecurity, CISSP/CISM preferred, and hands-on experience with security tooling and cloud security concepts. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 4–7 years of cybersecurity analyst experience or similar.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, OS (Windows, Linux) and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, and SIEM.
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Familiarity with NIST and ISO 27001.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage security vendors and deliverables.
• Oversee periodic security testing.
• Assess mitigation/remediation for adequacy and effectiveness.
• Review security reports, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy to stakeholders.
• Respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Conduct security awareness training.
