Job summary

ST Engineering seeks a hands-on Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to design, deploy, secure, automate and support resilient platforms across on-premises, edge, and AWS environments. You will work with virtualization, Linux/Windows, Kubernetes, networking and infrastructure-as-code to deliver repeatable, validated solutions.

You will translate architecture and security requirements into implementable work products, maintain documentation, and contribute to continual improvements in platform

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Platform Engineer with strong infrastructure, OT/IoT security and cloud engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will design, deploy, secure, automate and support resilient platforms across on-premises, edge, restricted, air-gapped and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. The role requires practical expertise in virtualization, Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, networking, infrastructure-as-code, security controls and operational assurance.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, technically curious, and able to translate architecture and security requirements into repeatable implementations, validation evidence, operational documentation and supportable outcomes.

• Design, deploy and support secure infrastructure across on-premises, cloud and operational technology environments.
• Configure and maintain virtual machines, containers, networks, storage and supporting platform services.
• Support cloud deployment and operations, preferably on AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Use automation and infrastructure-as-code tools to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
• Implement appropriate security controls for access, network segmentation, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Troubleshoot platform, network, application and security issues with relevant technical teams.
• Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams, build guides, operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to continuous improvements in platform security, reliability and maintainability.
• Relevant experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform, network or cybersecurity engineering.
• Working knowledge of Linux or Windows administration, networking and virtualisation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, automation or infrastructure-as-code.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles such as access control, network segmentation, secure configuration, monitoring and recovery.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and work across different technical areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, virtualisation platforms, Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of OT, IoT, industrial networks or security-sensitive environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Relevant cloud, infrastructure, networking or cybersecurity certification.
• Experience working in customer-facing, consulting, project delivery or systems integration environments.
