Job summary

Ensign InfoSecurity is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Security engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise cybersecurity solutions across a wide range of technologies.

You will work with customers, vendors and internal teams to deliver security architectures, perform threat investigations, and ensure smooth project lifecycles from pre-sales through post-implementation support.

Qualifications

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible for delivering and supporting information security projects within Ensign’s Infrastructure Security (IS) competency tower, covering the design, implementation, integration and operational support of enterprise cybersecurity solutions.

The role will involve working across a broad range of infrastructure security technologies, including Network Detection & Response (NDR), Network Traffic Visibility, IPS/IDS, Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) protection, and OT/IoT cybersecurity solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, vendors, solution architects and internal teams to deliver cybersecurity solutions and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-sales engagements, including technical discussions, solution demonstrations, requirements gathering, solution sizing and preparation of technical proposals for Infrastructure Security projects.
• Design, deploy, configure and integrate Infrastructure Security and Network Security solutions based on customer requirements and security architecture.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the implementation and deployment of Infrastructure Security solutions, providing technical consultation to customers and project teams.
• Implement and support cybersecurity technologies including:
• Network Detection & Response (NDR) and network analytics
• Network traffic visibility and monitoring
• Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
• Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
• Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and network security solutions
• OT/IoT cybersecurity and network monitoring
• Work with technologies and security platforms such as Gigamon, Vectra AI, ExtraHop, and other network visibility, NDR, threat detection and infrastructure security solutions.
• Perform network traffic analysis, threat investigation and security monitoring to identify suspicious activities, anomalies and potential security threats.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, configuration documents, test plans, operational procedures and as-built documentation.
• Perform system integration and troubleshooting across security solutions, network infrastructure and other enterprise platforms.
• Provide post-sales support, including corrective and preventive maintenance, incident troubleshooting, health checks, performance tuning and system optimisation.
• Support upgrades, patches, technology refreshes and enhancement activities for deployed security solutions.
• Conduct technical enablement, knowledge transfer and training for customers, internal teams and junior engineers.
• Keep abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to existing security solutions.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Presales, Solution Architects, Project Managers and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in project activities that may require occasional after-hours support or onsite deployment based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT / Cybersecurity, preferably with hands‑on experience in infrastructure, network or security engineering.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in one or more of the following:
• Gigamon network visibility / traffic intelligence solutions
• ExtraHop network detection, investigation and response
• IPS/IDS
• Next-Generation Firewall
• Web Application Firewall
• OT/IoT Cybersecurity
• Network traffic analysis and monitoring
• Experience with network infrastructure, routing, switching, TCP/IP and network security concepts.
• Experience in IT network or system administration will be an advantage.
• Experience integrating security solutions with SIEM, SOAR or other security monitoring platforms will be an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE, NSE, GIAC, Security+, CISSP or vendor‑specific certifications will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex network and security issues.
• Good communication, presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Able to engage confidently with customers and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Positive working attitude, proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership.
