Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. is seeking an IT Security Officer (Consultant) to strengthen security operations and governance. You will oversee security vendors, manage testing cycles, and provide expert consultancy to keep government systems resilient against evolving cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 4–7 years in cybersecurity analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networks, OS (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient with security tools (vulnerability scanners, pen-testing tools, SIEM).
• Experience with scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• CISSP and/or CISM certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage security vendors and deliverables.
• Manage periodic security testing.
• Assess mitigation/remediation for adequacy and effectiveness.
• Manage timely and effective mitigation/remediation.
• Review security reports.
• Review security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy.
• Respond to security alerts/advisories.
• Handling incidents.
• Conduct security awareness training.
• Broadcast email security advisories.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
