About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and oversee the security architecture of our organization's IT and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in security frameworks, threat modeling, and enterprise security design. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance security requirements with business objectives to ensure a robust and scalable security posture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Architecture & Design: Develop, implement, and maintain secure architectures for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based environments.
2. Risk & Threat Management: Oversee security risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
3. Security Frameworks & Compliance: Ensure alignment with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CCoP 2.0, PCS, PCI-DSS).
4. Zero Trust & Identity Management: Design, review and implement Zero Trust Architecture, IAM solutions, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
5. Security Operations Support: Collaborate with SOC, Incident Response, and Cyber Threat Intelligence teams to enhance detection and response capabilities.
6. Secure DevOps & Application Security: Work closely with development and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, application security, and API security.
7. Cloud Security Strategy: Define and implement security best practices for cloud environments using Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and other cloud security solutions.
8. Security Tooling & Automation: Evaluate, review, select, and implement security tools such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, DLP, and SOAR to improve security operations efficiency.
9. Security Governance & Awareness: Provide security guidance to IT and business teams, oversee conduct of security training, and drive a security-aware culture within the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
2. Deep understanding of security principles, risk management, cryptography, and secure network design.
3. Strong knowledge of cloud security architectures and best practices.
4. Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, XDR, IAM, PAM, DLP, SOAR, and other security solutions.
5. Expertise in Zero Trust Architecture, Identity & Access Management, and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
6. Experience with cyber threat modeling, penetration testing methodologies, and security automation.
7. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, CCoP 2.0, PCI-DSS, PDPA).
8. Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders across IT, business, and executive teams.

Preferred Certifications

1. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
2. CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
3. CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or any other Cloud Security Certifications
4. GIAC Certifications (e.g. GCIH, GCIA, GCFE, GCFA, GRTP)
5. SABSA, TOGAF, or other security architecture frameworks is a plus
