Job description

Summary of the position:

The Cyber Security Architect is a senior-level position responsible for planning, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network security infrastructure. The role involves evaluating the security of systems for vulnerabilities, participating in penetration tests, conducting risk analyses on LANs, WANs, and VPNs, and assessing the efficacy of routers, firewalls, and similar systems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 support for Network and Security infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and implement secure system architectures.
  • Integrate security principles into system designs to mitigate risks from new technologies and practices.
  • Create design artifacts that describe security principles and their relation to enterprise architecture.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of security systems and maintain documentation of standards and procedures.
  • Understand the organization’s technology and information systems comprehensively.
  • Research and design reliable, powerful, and flexible security architectures for IT projects.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce corporate security policies and procedures, ensuring employee compliance.
  • Develop requirements for IT assets such as routers, firewalls, LANs, WANs, VPNs, and related devices.
  • Review and approve the installation of firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers, and IDS technologies.
  • Prepare cost estimates for cybersecurity measures and identify potential integration issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to security teams.
  • Lead security awareness programs and educational initiatives for non-IT personnel.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents like data breaches, viruses, and phishing scams.
  • Maintain and upgrade security systems as necessary.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policies, including Singapore’s compliance standards and financial security regulations such as anti-fraud and anti-money laundering requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge and complete mandatory training to stay qualified for the role.
