Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Singapore seeks a Cybersecurity Intelligence Senior Associate to join the Intelligence Operations Team.

You will analyze malware, hunt threats, and build adaptive capabilities, with mentoring from senior analysts and collaboration across security disciplines. You will apply AI-assisted research to detect adversary tactics, review findings for accuracy, and contribute to risk assessments while maintaining strict data handling standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity intelligence, threat assessment, or security research, focusing on malware analysis/reverse engineering.
• Experience using AI capabilities to support threat intelligence workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted findings and risk recommendations while following security requirements.
• Basic coding/scripting experience (Python, C, JavaScript, VBScript).
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, OSINT, IDA Pro, Ghidra, BinaryNinja, Wireshark, Jupyter, SQL, YARA, AWS Lambda.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and understanding of OS, architectures, and networking.

• Conduct advanced malware analysis and reverse engineering of suspicious code, leveraging deep expertise in cyberattack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to investigate, assess, and mitigate security threatsone no
• Develop malware detection signatures, automate analysis and intelligence-gathering processes, and proactively hunt for emerging malware samples, IOCs, and adversary TTPs across diverse data sources
• Researching threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to enhance monitoring and detection capabilities
• Partnering with the Incident Response (IR) teams to understand incidents and support technical analysis of malicious cyber events
• Documenting and presenting findings in comprehensive technical analysis reports
• Communicating effectively with business representatives, technology specialists, and vendors
• Assisting peer analysts in the production and dissemination of intelligence reports
• Contributing technical expertise and Cybersecurity perspectives to discussions regarding JPMC global technology infrastructure
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat research synthesis and risk assessment documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to improve automation in threat detection and analysis workflows, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned to security expectations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity intelligence, threat assessment, or security research, focusing on malware analysis / reverse engineering
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support threat intelligence and security research workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted intelligence findings and risk recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.
• Basic coding (scripting) experience (i.e. Python, C, JavaScript, VBScript, etc.)
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, etc.) and Virtualization technologies (i.e VMWare)
• Experience with some of the following: SIEM, SOAR, OSINT, IDA Pro, Ghidra, BinaryNinja, Wireshark, Jupyter, SQL, YARA, AWS Lambda
• A firm belief in doing what's right and following ethical practices
• Foundational understanding of Forensics, Log Analysis, Incident Response and / or Threat and Fraud Intelligence
