The role of a Cyber Crime Investigator at CCIRC involves carrying out specialized tasks to combat cybercrime effectively. Responsibilities include recovering data from damaged or erased hard drives, analyzing artifacts for evidence acquisition, tracing hacks, and evaluating the effects of malware on information systems.In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Cyber Crime Investigators at CCIRC are also responsible for seizing equipment used in committing crimes, such as flash drives, computers, external storage media, backup tapes, digital cameras, smartphones, and CDs/DVDs. They operate imaging software to copy disks and data, search and restore deleted or unavailable data using recovery programs, preserve a chain of custody for evidences, produce reports and documentation of investigative procedures, and provide testimony in the court of law.At CCIRC, we offer a self-funded, profitable, and growing work environment that provides a platform for Cyber Crime Investigators to flourish in their careers.
