Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Cyber AI Deployment Engineer to help customers apply OpenAI models, Codex, and agents to real cybersecurity use cases. You will partner with CISOs and security teams to design safe deployment patterns and measurable outcomes.

This role blends executive strategy with hands-on implementation, collaborating with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Security. Relocation support is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical consulting, solutions engineering, security architecture, or equivalent customer-facing technical experience.
• Strong cybersecurity domain expertise across AppSec, cloud security, identity, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Able to communicate credibly with CISOs, CTOs, security executives, and engineering leaders.
• Hands-on experience building prototypes or production systems with APIs, Python or JavaScript, scripts, and CI/CD tooling.
• Understand how to design AI workflows with retrieval, guardrails, and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic customers as the technical lead for AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows.
• Lead discovery across AppSec, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and SOC/IR use cases.
• Build and deliver customer-facing demos, prototypes, and reference architectures using OpenAI APIs and tools.
• Scope pilots with clear success criteria, data requirements, and evaluation methods.
• Advise customers on safe implementation patterns including guardrails and data handling.
