Position Overview

RecruitGo is in search of a Customer Service & Operations professional based in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and shipments, managing airfreight and oceanfreight logistics, including booking and documentation, and resolving shipping issues while keeping customers informed. You will also handle end-to-end shipping documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, maintain accurate transaction records, collaborate with teams to enhance customer experience, and contribute to operational improvements by monitoring feedback and service metrics.

Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone with a degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred), at least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations, strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes and documentation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in freight forwarding software like Cargowise and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service abilities are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding inquiries and shipments.
  • Address customer questions and issues promptly, ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Manage airfreight and oceanfreight shipments, including booking, tracking, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, and stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Identify and resolve issues during the shipping process, proactively communicating delays or changes.
  • Utilize critical thinking to find effective solutions for customer needs.
  • Prepare and handle all shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications related to shipments.
  • Work closely with teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Assist in operational improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor customer feedback and service metrics for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in freight forwarding operations.
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, ocean and air documentation, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding software (Cargowise) and Microsoft Office Suite.
