Role Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer at SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd. The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the land freight transportation process, ensuring smooth operations, resolving inquiries, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Attend to customer’s enquiries and liaise with customers to ensure that all the job requirements of the orders given are captured.
  2. Perform trucking job creation.
  3. Communicate customers’ requirements to Operations for their execution.
  4. Monitor jobs and provide timely updates for shipment, including updating container details in the system.
  5. Advise customers on delivery schedule/ inventory.
  6. Maintain inventory report and undertake monthly closing of accounts.
  7. Responsible for all documentation and administration duties.
  8. Monitor the progress of job orders and shipments adhering to deadlines or specified dates.
  9. Maintain business relationships with customers and be responsible for customer management on a basic level.
  10. Communicate and coordinate with the appointed third-parties in relation to job orders.
  11. Assist in all aspects of accounts receivables process including billing, invoices, issuance of debit notes and credit notes.
  12. Ensure all billings accruals and payments are made on time and generate invoices for posting to customers
  13. Maintain billing system data integrity.
  14. Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and filling of invoice and job sheet.
  15. Accountability for accuracy and precision of billing processes to customers.
  16. Train and guide customer service assistants.
  17. Maintain networking with other departments including dispatch, billing, credit, and field management to respond to customer inquiries.
  18. Assist in permit declaration for job orders when required or when necessary.

Requirements

  1. Diploma or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or client-facing roles, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  3. Experience with bulk liquid operations will be advantageous.
  4. Strong knowledge of land freight operations, transportation logistics, and customs clearance procedures in Singapore.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  6. Experience with TradeNet is a plus.

  1. Working hours: Mon to Fri: 8.30am - 5.45pm, alternate Sat: 8.30am - 12.30pm
