Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Customer Service Executive specializing in Airfreight Export. Qualifications

Job description

Benefits Summary:

  • Customer Service Executive - Airfreight Export

  • Permanent role

  • Basic up to $ 3,800 +AWS +VB

  • Monday to Friday, Office hours/ Saturday Half day

  • Location: Changi (Company pick-up transport provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and courteously handle all incoming calls and customer enquiries.

  • Possess basic understanding of cargo commodities in compliance with IATA regulations.

  • Coordinate end-to-end air export shipment processes, liaising with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

  • Book flights through the procurement team and ensure timely shipment arrangements.

  • Review and verify AWB/HAWB and other required shipping documents, escalating any discrepancies to customers or overseas agents.

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal systems.

  • Communicate effectively with overseas agents on shipment requirements, rates, and operational updates.

  • Obtain rate approvals from customers prior to shipment departures.

  • Share flight schedules and proactively update clients on freight status.

  • Ensure AED compliance and timely job file closure in accordance with KPIs.

  • Monitor shipment uplift and transit status to ensure on-time delivery; escalate delays to shipper and receiving stations as needed.

  • Understand and comply with customer-specific SOPs and shipment handling instructions.

  • Track and work toward monthly and annual KPIs and operational objectives.

  • Provide support in shipment execution across teams when required.

  • Generate and provide accurate airfreight quotations upon request.

  • Handle supplier invoice disputes and ensure resolution.

  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner for management attention and resolution.

  • Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Additional Information:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels

  • 1-2 years customer service-related experience. Experience in freight-forwarding(airfreight) is advantageous
