Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Customer Service Officer (Freight Forwarding) in Cogent Integrated Supply Chain Pte Ltd. The role will be responsible for handling export documentation, managing communication and document management processes, and ensuring proper billing for all closed jobs.

  • Manage shipping documentation formalities in regards to Port Authority / Customs / TradeNet / PortNet
  • Ensure proper and timely billing / closing for all job files, issuance of credit note, internal expenses report by end of each month
  • Coordinates day-to-day operations and transactions for freight forwarding and other related activity
  • Manage job file creation, costing and other data entries in 56Cargo System
  • Arrange bookings with carriers / co-loaders and execute all pertinent shipping documents, e.g. shipping order, trucking instruction, shipping certificate, subsidiary certificate, bill of lading, forwarder cargo receipt, export subsidiary certificate, etc
  • Send pre-alerts and shipping advice timely to customers and agent
  • Coordinates dispatch of shipping documents to customers and agent
  • Assist for rate sourcing with various carriers
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in logistics or related field
  • Preferably with relevant experience in Freight Forwarding/ Logistics industry
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Other Information:

  • Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 6pm
