Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking a Freight Forwarding Specialist to support their IFF department. This role includes ensuring compliance with customer procedures, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment delivery. The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree, and at least three years of experience in freight forwarding.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

The incumbent will be part of the IFF department team, providing seamless, customer-focused solutions to support business objectives:

  • Ensure compliance with customers’ Standard Operating Procedures
  • Liaise with overseas agents on requirements and rates
  • Prepare shipping, LCL, FCL documentation
  • Coordinate with import/export operations for accurate documentation and invoicing
  • Coordinate with carriers, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth shipment delivery
  • Provide sea freight quotations for ad hoc COD customers
  • Arrange packing and labeling of Dangerous Goods
  • Responsible for DG declaration periodically
  • Supervise CSE & CSO, acting as their first escalation point
  • Ensure compliance with customer SOPs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
  • Diploma/Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding (airfreight/seafreight)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
