Job summary

A leading logistics firm is seeking a customer service representative specializing in air export shipments. The candidate will manage customer inquiries, coordinate shipment processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Candidates should have a minimum of GCE ‘O’ levels and excellent communication skills.

Job description

Job Info:

  • Salary: Basic up to $3800 + AWS + VB

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5:45pm); Saturday (9am - 1pm)

  • Location: Changi (East)

Job Scope:

  • Promptly and courteously handle all incoming calls and customer enquiries

  • Possess basic understanding of cargo commodities in compliance with IATA regulations

  • Coordinate end-to-end air export shipment processes, liaising with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders

  • Book flights through the procurement team and ensure timely shipment arrangements

  • Review and verify AWB/HAWB and other required shipping documents, escalating any discrepancies to customers or overseas agents

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal systems

  • Communicate effectively with overseas agents on shipment requirements, rates, and operational updates

  • Obtain rate approvals from customers prior to shipment departures

  • Share flight schedules and proactively update clients on freight status

  • Ensure AED compliance and timely job file closure in accordance with KPIs

  • Monitor shipment uplift and transit status to ensure on-time delivery; escalate delays to shipper and receiving stations as needed

  • Understand and comply with customer-specific SOPs and shipment handling instructions

  • Track and work toward monthly and annual KPIs and operational objectives

  • Provide support in shipment execution across teams when required

  • Generate and provide accurate airfreight quotations upon request

  • Handle supplier invoice disputes and ensure resolution

  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner for management attention and resolution

  • Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels

  • 1-2 years customer service-related experience. Experience in freight-forwarding(airfreight) is advantageous

  • Able to work over-time when required

  • Good written and spoken English

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
