Job Title: Customer Service Officer / Executive
Location: Lower Delta, Singapore
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Freight Forwarding / Logistics
Salary: $2,400 – $3,400 per month
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Officer / Executive to join our forwarding team. You will play a key role in providing shipping solutions for customers, ensuring smooth coordination for import and export shipments, and delivering excellent service from booking to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries, bookings, and shipment tracking
  • Build strong client relationships through regular and clear communication

Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate with transporters, permit declaring agents, and carriers
  • Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers

Complaint & Issue Resolution

  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and verify shipping documents to meet customs and regulatory requirements

Billing & Invoicing

  • Process invoices accurately and follow up on payments
  • Liaise with the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies

Sales Support

  • Assist sales team with rate quotations, follow-ups, and post-booking coordination

Recordkeeping & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate shipment records for operations and audits
  • Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience and efficiency
Requirements
  • Minimum O Level education
  • 1 year of relevant work experience preferred (logistics/freight forwarding an advantage) — entry-level candidates with strong willingness to learn will be considered
  • Knowledge of sea and air freight procedures is preferred (training provided for entry-level)
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and able to manage customer disputes effectively
  • Knowledge of costing/pricing is an advantage
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers and partners)
