Job summary

Job description

To provide customer and administrative assistance and support to the nursing team of the ward

  1. Prepare, compile and maintain patient medical records in the ward.

  2. Verify ward stock consumable supplies and maintain established inventory level.

  3. Answer queries from external customers (Physicians, clinic staff and the public) regarding hospital services,

  4. Ensure accurate and timely billing.

  5. Obtain and dispatch messages and/or requisitions to the appropriate personnel or department.

  6. Make appointments for patients in another department within or outside hospital as instructed by doctors and/or nurses.

  7. Work closely with the Admissions and Reservations departments regarding bed availability, patient admissions, transfers and discharge.

Requirements

  1. GCE 'N' Level and above

  2. At least 1 year experience in clerical duties in an acute hospital setting preferred.

  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  4. People-oriented, flexible, adaptable and positive work attitude.

  5. Typing ability and computer literacy preferred.
