A leading company in digital services seeks a Customer Fund Operation expert to handle payment services and financial operations. This role involves managing clearing, settlement, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with internal teams for operational improvements. Candidates should have significant experience in financial institutions and knowledge of global payment systems.
About the team In line with Bytedance's globalization plans, there has been an increasing demand for payment services and financial services such as BNPL to: (1) enhance and support our current business needs; and (2) increase our service offerings to the end user. As such, the need for payment services has gradually increased in our overseas business development strategy. Whether it's paying money to creators/users to encourage user growth, or offering paid services to users, payments have become an important step in our integrated service offerings. In order to facilitate and provide such services, Global Payments ("GP") was set up. GP is supported by a group of payments licensed entities which are subsidiaries under Bytedance Ltd. Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for clearing and settlement of Channels signed with PIPO entities, which includes transaction and fee reconciliations with Channels, management of channel settlement rules and fund risk; 2. Responsible for clearing and settlement of Merchant onboarded with PIPO entities, which includes settlement to merchant, management of customer's account and statement as well as client queries about statement; 3. Responsible for reconciliation of funds and balance of bank or institutional accounts, as well as handling of relevant reconciliation differences; 4. Responsible for monthly closure of bank and institutional accounts and assisting with group's financial department in accounting; 5. Work with internal teams such as Product, Tech and other cooperation teams to build up system capabilities and setup new operational flows; 6. Work with internal teams to provide customer fund ops solutions for new business initiatives and support projects for new business launches.
Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience within large MNC or financial institutions in cash/fund operation positions, - Familiar with the procedures of fund clearing/settlement and reconciliations from both corporate and bank perspectives, and knowledge of fund flows of global payments - Familiar with the fund settlement and clearing system in major countries and knowledge of relevant central banks' clearing rules and regulatory requirements; Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting areas - Exposure to global customer fund operations as well as in-house system build-up related experiences - Good quick learner and strong analysis skill
