Job summary

We are looking for a Customer Development Chef (Pastry Chef):

Nestle Professional SG (NPSG) (60%)

  • Provide support to NPSG sales team on pastry related demos and training, (external and in CEC), Chef2Chef events, advisory, recipe support and execution of finished products using our skus.
  • Work with Brand Manager to ensure successful execution of all "Made with" initiatives prioritising Key Account Customers. Support the Key Account Managers to identify key OEM and branded opportunities for Confectionery
  • Understand the channel needs, consumers/customers insights and developing recipes and dishes tailored to capitalize on the opportunities in the channel for long-term sustainable and profitable growth
  • Work in tandem with hot culinary chef to ensure smooth execution of demos and duties in the kitchen, providing overall chef support to the sales team

Regional Office (RO) (40%)

  • Provide su pport to RO team on pipeline innovations; including product stress test and recipe development, concept visualisation and ideation on trends
    (45% Confectionery, 30% Culinary Dairy and Beverage Dairy, 25% Savoury)
  • Presentation of recipes and concepts to international Key Account customers (May have some level of travelling)
  • Understanding and delivering customer briefs; full project managment from market research, capturing of consumer response, additional manpower sourcing and management (if needed) and execution and presentation of dish (including basic photography and ppt presentations)

  • Nestle Professional SG (NPSG)
    • Conduct product demos, training or provide SOP for internal sales team and customers as per required
    • Recipe creation and innovation using our products in both direct application or through OEM
    • Relationship building with peers (chefs) in trade events, customer visits and demos
    • Ensure successful taste and presentation/ menu execution on "Made with" initiatives with customers
    • Develop insight in OEM/ Co-manufacturer operations and leverage customer and channel insights to create new business ideas with category and sales team; must be able to translate into commerically viable Grab & Go concepts
    • Build Capability of Chef's in Market, develop and design Training Material
  • Regional Office (RO)
    • Concept and Recipe creation, testing, validating and executing
    • Concept presentation to C-suite KA customers
    • Data recording and validation of research assumptions

What will make you successful

  • Minimum 3 years chef experience from restaurants, hotels, catering functions or food manufacturing facilities
  • University / Diploma graduate, in Pastry Arts, with fair knowlegde in culinary and hot cooking
  • Strong connection in F&B industry or participation in a chef association
  • Good command of English in oral and written, able to present confidently in front of large crowds and to C-suite level
  • Computer proficient, basic know-how on MS word, excel and powerpoint
