Job Description
In addition to your teaching duties, as a Curriculum Developer, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop curricula and teaching materials in consultation with the Head of Department.
- Participate in evaluation programs conducted by the department.
- Work with staff on devising and revising the curriculum.
- Ensure the department is informed of any problems related to curricula, identify issues, and assist in strategies to overcome them.
- Organize curriculum materials in both hard and soft copies, ensuring they are backed up and secure.
- Assist with planning, development, implementation, and revision of curriculum in line with best practices and the company's needs.
- Develop programme outlines and guidelines.
- Identify new materials and resources, and recommend enhancements.
- Prepare and conduct curriculum training sessions.
- Write and edit content for advertising materials promoting the curriculum.
- Prepare briefing notes and presentations on the curriculum as requested.
- Collaborate closely with other curriculum development team members, providing support where needed.
- Provide regular updates on work progress to the Head of Hua Language Centre.
- Meet with Heads of Departments to assess their curriculum needs and update on development progress.
- Work with the Head of Department to identify priorities and develop an annual curriculum plan.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum where relevant.
- Perform any other curriculum-related tasks as they arise.

Your teaching role will involve helping learners progress, fostering a love of learning by delivering engaging, interactive, and professional lessons, and contributing positively to life at Hua Language Centre.
This will include:
Planning, Teaching, and Class Management
- Prepare and deliver the curriculum with enthusiasm, facilitating active learning, curiosity, and knowledge enrichment.
- Meet learning objectives and differentiate activities to cater to students' varying needs.
- Use relevant teaching resources to support instruction.
- Coordinate with colleagues on student development, performance, or behavior concerns.
- Create a stimulating and tidy classroom environment with displays of students’ work.
- Establish routines and enforce age-appropriate classroom management procedures.
- Ensure students are supervised and safe at all times.
- Teach up to 16 hours per week.
Monitoring, Assessment, Reporting, and Recording
- Encourage and monitor individual student progress through assessments and observations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and development.
Activities to Support the Brand
- Act as an ambassador for Hua Language Centre.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents to foster confidence, retention, and loyalty.
- Participate in school and parent-teacher meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues and work flexibly for the company's benefit.
- Maintain professional conduct and personal presentation, setting a good example.
