Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Singapore seeks a Currencies & Emerging Markets Trading Assistant to support senior traders on a fast-paced trading floor. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.

• Ability to explain fundamental and technical aspects of traded products and related support functions.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day client requests and needs.
• Monitor market drivers, moves, and cross-asset implications to inform trading desk activity and client conversations.
• Assist senior traders in managing risk, liquidity, and exposure across the desk's product coverage.
• Perform pre-trade analysis and support design of risk management approaches for larger trades.
• Process inbound and outbound trades and support end-to-end execution workflows.
• Track supply and demand dynamics and evaluate market developments to provide accurate product information for clients.
• Resolve profit and loss reconciliation issues and investigate breaks independently.
• Ensure post-trade entries are accurate and follow internal controls.
• Apply applicable legal, regulatory, and internal risk management policies in day-to-day activities.
• Contribute ideas and share knowledge that help the team succeed.

You will develop your understanding of market drivers, market moves, and cross-asset implications, while balancing revenue outcomes with building a client franchise.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages verbally and in writing and defend the validity of ideas.
• Demonstrable proficiency with market and product terminology.
• Understanding of product pricing, models, and quantitative frameworks relevant to the desk's products.
• Understanding of different risk types and approaches to managing risk, and ability to anticipate market movements.
• Ability to perform under competitive pressure while staying focused on you tasks and client needs.
