National University of Singapore seeks a full-time Research Fellow to investigate structural changes of dengue virus inside cells. You will conduct cryoEM studies, design and execute projects, and prepare data for publications under PI supervision.

The role includes mentoring undergraduates and research assistants and presenting findings in meetings. The candidate should hold a PhD with experience in cryo-EM, x-ray crystallography, and related techniques, with a proven publication record and

Qualificações

• PhD degree with prior experience in x-ray crystallography and cryoelectron microscopy.
• Prior experience in cryo-FIB milling and subtomogram averaging is preferred.
• Possess knowledge of the scientific background relevant to the research area and laboratory experimental skills, where applicable.
• Proven track record in the form of high impact publications.
• Demonstrated capability of research independence progressively.
• Have strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills.
• A team player who is able to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively in a diverse workforce.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the PI to design, develop, and execute research projects.
• Independently conduct research projects, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of results for publications and grant reports/applications.
• Maintain accurate records of methodologies, materials, raw data, and observations for experiments.
• Perform oral presentations and participate in discussions during meetings and interact with all members of the research team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to undergraduate / students and research assistants.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
