Job summary

Qualifications

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless operations.
  • Handle vessel vetting and demurrage claims.

Job description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for shipping? Step into a key role with a leading international trading company, where you will support the smooth flow of energy cargoes across global markets. From coordinating vessel operations to managing demurrage and working with a wide network of partners, you will be part of a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor operational transactions, update internal systems, and maintain accurate records

• Support contract and offtake agreement reviews related to lifting operations

• Manage end-to-end vessel operations, including loading, discharging, inspection instructions, and cargo insurance coordination

• Handle vessel vetting and demurrage claims, ensuring timely submissions and effective negotiations with counterparties

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (buyers, sellers, charterers, shipping brokers, terminal operators, JV partners, etc.) to ensure seamless operations

• Communicate with oil terminals and partners to resolve urgent operational issues and prevent supply disruptions

• Work closely with traders to align operations with commercial strategies

• Provide after-hours support as needed

• Handle invoicing coordination and ensure accurate operational cost tracking

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, or a related field (Maritime majors preferred)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trading operations

• Solid knowledge of maritime law and upstream contract handling

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of numeracy

• Experience working in a multicultural or international business environment is an advantage

• Based in Singapore
