Job summary

Talbot Risk Services PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Underwriter, Crisis Management to assess and price complex risk exposures for APAC clients. You will maintain underwriting authority, collaborate with brokers, and contribute to portfolio strategy.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or degree and has deep liability insurance experience, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of regional markets. Chartered IIA preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field; professional designation preferred (CII).
• Significant liability insurance experience across APAC.
• Proven track record of profitable growth in general insurance.
• Deep expertise in casualty insurance with strong underwriting background.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of major insurance markets across the APAC region.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite risks in accordance with Talbot's underwriting philosophy and authority.
• Assist in delivering strategy and business plans.
• Ensure underwriting within appetite, authorities and processes.
• Assist in managing the overall portfolio.
• Provide professional, prompt service to brokers and clients.
• Comply with personal underwriting authority terms.
• Review and update Underwriting Guidelines at least annually.
• Maintain accurate premium entries in Subscribe.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and assist syndicate staff as needed.
• Continuously develop knowledge and expertise.
