Job summary
A leading maritime company is seeking a Crewing Manager to oversee personnel administration including recruitment, compliance with regulations, and crew welfare. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar capacity as Crewing Manager.
- Knowledge of application for employment passes and MOM regulations.
- Meticulous, pro-active with a positive attitude and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of crew personnel administration
- Plan/update schedule and movement for all crew
- Supervise implementation and execution of Crewing department procedures
- Ensure compliance with marine regulations (MPA, ICA etc)
- Interaction with crew on manpower/welfare issues including payroll
- Ensure that Company’s fleet of vessel is well manned with qualified crews and
in compliance with regulations/STCW - Manage the selection and recruitment of all seafarers in accordance with
Company’s procedures - Sourcing for crewing agencies that meet Company’s needs
- Handling visas and ensuring legislation of crew certification adhered
- Manage and administer crew’s training records
- Submission of Application/Refund of Foreign Worker Levy
- Involvement in Company ISM/MLC and other regulatory audits and
maintaining documentations - Reviewing performance of all seagoing personnel and make
recommendations on their remuneration package or training needs after
consultation with the Department Heads. - Resolving employment disputes with seafarers and their representatives and
ensuring smooth completion of same. - Stay abreast of manning developments including the requirements of ILO,
Flag Administration, Seamen’s union and representative bodies, shipowners’
unions and employment associations. - Prepare monthly and weekly reports to the Director.
- Other Ad-Hoc duties relating to Marine/Crewing/HR
Requirements:
- Min 5 years experience in a similar capacity as Crewing manager in shipping
companies - Knowledge of application for employment passes (including Work Permit/ S Pass
etc) & MOM regulations - Bachelor Degree in Human resource/general business or marine related fields
- Good leadership and people management skills
- Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with others in a fast paced
working environment - Able to work independently and as a team
