Overall Purpose of the Job

This role is responsible for the flawless delivery of crew management and crewing operations within the assigned fleet.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Cell and Crew Management Centre to ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and escalate issues as necessary, starting from onboarding new customers/fleets.
  • Serve as the primary contact for crew matters between Fleet Managers and Crew Management, supporting onboard performance and procedures.
  • Ensure Crew Management meets KPIs agreed with customers and Fleet Cell, including budget responsibilities.
  • Schedule and report on service performance and budget reviews, recommending improvements.
  • Manage crewing budget elements, report, and negotiate with customers alongside the Fleet Manager.
  • Identify crew retention risks proactively and work with stakeholders to mitigate issues.
  • Ensure diligent use of ShipSure as the system of record for all crewing activities.
  • Assist Vessel Coordinators in planning crew changes.
  • Handle industrial relations for the assigned fleet.
  • Support HSSEQ in accident investigations related to crewing and implement corrective actions.

Essential Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Maritime or Shipping industry, as a supplier, manager, or owner.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Crew Operations.
  • Customer service experience and mindset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence change.
  • Excellent communication skills and team leadership qualities.
