About REDD:

Risk Event-Driven Distressed (REDD) Intelligence produces real-time news and analytics on Emerging Market corporate event-driven special situations, helping asset managers, bankers, and advisers assess opportunities in the credit markets.

REDD Intelligence reports on events that may act as catalysts for price changes in a company’s existing traded securities (bonds, loans, local currency debt or equity). These are generally known as “special situations” and are of great interest to our subscribers because they are tradeable, market-independent events. Aside from this, we also cover the private credit space across APAC.

Based out of Singapore with bureaus across the region, REDD’s Asia team is made up of professionals with investment banking, legal and financial reporting experience, leveraging regional relationships to report on catalysts related to a universe of nearly 2,000 companies.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced generalist credit research analyst covering performing and distressed corporate borrowers in Southeast Asia and Australia, also producing reports on industries and sectors that may be relevant to the universe of borrowers REDD covers.

Day-to-day activities include:

  • Leading analytical coverage of investment grade, high-yield and distressed companies in Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • Regular production of written credit and sector/ industry research reports.
  • Support the proprietary news team in understanding emerging credit situations.
  • Carrying out detailed financial analysis of different credit securities.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding and performing a detailed assessment of business models across various sectors.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of fixed income, fundamental corporate and credit analysis and related fields.
  • Three or more years of credit/fixed income research experience is preferred (e.g. bonds, loans, leveraged finance).
  • Experience working with onshore financial documents.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting (IFRS/HKFRS) and financial modelling.
  • Understanding of credit ratings and methodologies is a plus.
  • Fluency in English - written and oral - is a must.
  • Fluency in one or more Southeast Asian languages (e.g. Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, or Vietnamese) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in Singapore or existing work authorization to do so.
