Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our growing team. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your finance career within a global TIC business.

Location: Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Manage credit control for designated customer ledgers in accordance with Element's collections policy.
  • Contact customers to collect overdue payments.
  • Provide copies of invoices and account statements; log customer disputes.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls to address late accounts, with defined actions and timelines.
  • Match unallocated cash and contact customers for remittance advice.
  • Escalate late accounts to the Credit Control Manager and relevant departments.
  • Manage stop and off-stop processes for customer accounts.
  • Support the team and Credit Control Manager in daily operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in cash collection and DSO performance.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Finance or accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Relevant experience in credit control and collections.
  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Strong credit control skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good understanding of VAT.
  • Knowledge of accounting and accounts systems.
  • Proven ability to meet collection targets.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confidence in accounting and credit control knowledge.
