About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to manage our company's credit policies and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to evaluate creditworthiness, set credit limits, and monitor overdue accounts. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and negotiation, maintaining positive relationships with customers while addressing payment issues and resolving disputes. The successful candidate will be highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks, and adept at streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to support business initiatives and improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Assessment:

  • Develop and monitor a credit control system.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers using financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.

Credit Limits:

  • Review and recommend credit limits and credit term for customers based on their financial status and payment history.

Debt Collection:

  • Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts through effective communication and negotiation.

Customer Relations:

  • Establish policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers while addressing payment issues and resolving disputes.

Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on credit status, outstanding debts, and collection activities for management review.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding credit and collections.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to credit control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You bring 3-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related role, along with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Your advanced Excel skills for complex financial modelling, combined with your strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, allow you to contribute to this role. You possess a critical, detail-oriented mindset and excel in communication and negotiation, fostering positive relationships with customers and colleagues alike. Your proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus) sets you up for success in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Ideal Profile

Working Arrangements
