Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your finance career within a global TIC business.

This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Manage credit control for designated customer ledgers in line with Element's collections policy.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue invoices to facilitate payments.
  • Provide copy invoices and account statements; log customer disputes.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls to discuss late-paying accounts, with defined actions and timelines to resolve disputes.
  • Match unallocated cash and contact customers to obtain remittance advices.
  • Escalate late-paying accounts to the Credit Control Manager and relevant departments.
  • Manage stop and off-stop procedures on designated customer accounts.
  • Support the team and the Credit Control Manager in daily activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in cash collection and DSO performance.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Finance or accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Relevant experience in credit control and collections.
  • Experience working in similar roles.
  • Strong credit control skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good understanding of VAT.
  • Knowledge of accounting and accounts systems.
  • Proven ability to meet collection targets.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confidence in accounting and credit control knowledge.
