A leading company in the logistics industry is seeking a Credit Control Specialist to manage outstanding payments and ensure compliance with credit policies. The role involves investigating invoice discrepancies, collaborating with teams to track collections, and driving improvements in credit control processes. Candidates should have a diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in freight forwarding.

Responsibilities:
Monitor outstanding payments, ensuring compliance with assigned credit limits and company credit policies; escalate potential debt recovery concerns and initiate timely delivery of reminder notices to overdue accounts.
Investigate and resolve invoice disputes or discrepancies that result in delayed payments.
Perform financial background checks and reference verifications for new customers to assess creditworthiness; conduct periodic credit reviews for existing customers.
Collaborate with internal teams to track and manage collections, including monitoring Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and achieving monthly collection targets.
Liaise with internal and external customers to follow up on collections and reconcile account balances, including intercompany billings and transactions, to ensure timely and accurate payment recovery.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance credit control processes and increase operational efficiency through better use of automation and systems.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirement :
Minimum Diploma or above
At least 3 years of experience in credit control
Prior experience in the Freight Forwarding & Logistics industry is preferred
Computer literate and familiar with MS Office & MS Excel (must know Vlookup,Pivot,sumif etc)
