Job description

A foreign wholesale bank is looking for candidates for the post of Credit Analyst. Successful candidate will: -

Core Responsibilities:

  • Credit Risk Assessment: Independently assess and evaluate new credit applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with established bank policies and procedures. This includes analyzing financial statements, conducting due diligence, and making informed credit recommendations.

  • Portfolio Optimization: Contribute to the management and growth of the bank's credit and investment portfolio, actively seeking opportunities to enhance profitability while mitigating risk.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Execute comprehensive onboarding and ongoing monitoring of clients to ensure strict adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and all other relevant regulatory requirements. This includes identifying and reporting suspicious activities.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive and responsive account servicing.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with various departments within the bank and Head Office to facilitate smooth operations and information sharing.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Banking, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' credit analysis experience within a banking environment.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial analysis abilities; proficient in interpreting financial statements and using key ratios for credit assessment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and projection capabilities.

  • Communication: Excellent presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information.

  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Trade Finance products.

  • Certifications: CFA charter or other relevant credit analysis certification.

  • Language Skills: Ability to understand Thai language will be an added advantage.
