We’re seeking a skilled content strategist and copywriting expert with a strong background in digital media and entertainment. This person will help guide the creation of high-impact, engaging written content within a dynamic, multilingual environment. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, culturally aware writer-editor who is passionate about helping diverse stories connect with a global user base.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of written materials related to content presentation, including synopses, summaries, promotional descriptions, and in-app messaging.
- Collaborate with a network of writers and external vendors to ensure consistent quality and voice across all written assets.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving design, localization, analytics, and user experience teams.
- Partner with regional content editors to ensure that cultural and market-specific considerations are reflected in writing workflows and guidelines.
- Develop editorial guidance, content briefs, and documentation to support quality control and streamline collaboration.
- Regularly audit and review written assets for clarity, tone, and accuracy, offering constructive feedback and implementing revisions where necessary.
- Use market insights and audience data to shape messaging strategies and propose innovative approaches to content presentation.
- Participate in experiments and tool improvements that aim to enhance both internal workflows and the end-user experience.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in creative copywriting, editorial, or content design within digital or media environments.
- Background in entertainment journalism, digital media production, or large-scale content platforms is a plus.
- Proven ability to adapt tone and messaging for different genres, formats, and target audiences.
- Deep familiarity with regional entertainment trends and content across Southeast Asia, Australasia, and Chinese-language markets.
- Strong editorial judgment and sensitivity to cultural nuance and regional standards.
- Experience working across departments and managing input from a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with scalable content creation processes, editorial guidelines, and proprietary toolsets.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken), with proficiency in at least one additional regional language preferred.
- Outstanding communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Enthusiasm for experimenting with new storytelling formats and tools, including emerging technologies such as generative AI.
- Experience collaborating within global, distributed teams preferred
- Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven content optimization advantageous
