Creative Director (D2C)
We are seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead and elevate our D2C content marketing efforts. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, and the ability to translate brand values into captivating content that drives customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
As Creative Director, you will own the creative vision across all digital and direct marketing channels, collaborating closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to craft innovative campaigns that engage, inspire, and convert.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Develop and execute the overall creative strategy for D2C content marketing, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints—social media, email, website, video, influencer partnerships, and more.
- Content Strategy: Lead the ideation, creation, and optimization of high-impact content tailored to our direct consumers, driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Team Management: Inspire, mentor, and manage a talented creative team including content creators, designers, videographers, and copywriters to produce best-in-class assets.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, UX, and Analytics teams to align creative output with business goals and customer insights.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the brand voice and visual identity, ensuring all content reflects the company’s values and resonates authentically with target audiences.
- Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and D2C marketing innovations to keep our content fresh, relevant, and competitive.
- Performance & Optimization: Use data-driven insights to refine creative approaches, measure campaign effectiveness, and maximize ROI.
- Budget Oversight: Manage creative budgets, vendor relationships, and production timelines efficiently.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in creative leadership roles, preferably within D2C brands, content marketing, or digital-first environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record of developing compelling content strategies that drive consumer engagement and business growth.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse content across multiple channels (social, video, email, web).
- Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and direct response marketing principles.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Expertise in brand storytelling, visual design principles, and digital marketing tools.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret analytics to inform creative decisions.
- Experience managing creative teams and external agencies.
