Job summary

J & C BAKERY PTE. LTD. in Singapore invites an experienced Cake Baker to join our bakery team. You will prepare and bake cakes according to recipes and production requirements, and decorate them neatly for presentation.

You will perform piping, frosting, layering and finishing, prepare buttercream and fillings, create customised cake designs, ensure quality, manage daily production, and assist with other bakery duties as needed. Weekend and public holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cake baking and decoration is required.
• Must be skilled in piping, frosting and basic cake-design techniques.
• Able to follow recipes and work independently.
• Creative, careful and attentive to detail.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible, punctual and a good team player.
• Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes according to recipes and production requirements.
• Decorate cakes neatly and professionally.
• Perform piping, frosting, layering and finishing.
• Prepare buttercream, fillings and other cake components.
• Create customised cake designs based on customers' requests.
• Ensure consistent product quality, taste and presentation.
• Manage daily production and complete orders on time.
• Monitor ingredients and inform the supervisor when stocks are running low.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the baking and decorating areas.
• Follow food-safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with other bakery duties when required.
