Job summary

A leading company in the marine industry is seeking a Crane Operator to ensure safety and maintain equipment on their barges. The ideal candidate will have their GCE O Level, relevant crane operation licenses, and the ability to supervise lifting operations. This role involves both operational and maintenance tasks, covering duties as needed when the Barge Master is away, ensuring a smooth workflow on deck.

Qualifications

• Crawler Crane Operator License (MOM) required.
• Lifting supervisor and signal man/riggers certificates are essential.
• Ability to assist in barge mooring operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain barge, crane, and all deck equipment.
• Ensure safety of crews and cover Barge Master's duties when needed.
• Operate floating crane to lift and move various items.

• Minimum GCE O Level

• Able to read and write and communicate in English
• Able to assist in crane barge mooring operation
• Lifting supervisor certificate
• Signal man / riggers certificate
• SSIC
• Carry out maintenance on other employer barges
• Assist in survey

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of barge / crane and all equipment on deck
• Proper manning of vessel
• Ensure safety of all crews
• Cover duty of Barge Master when he is away
• Operates floating crane to lift / move equipment, cargoes, anchor chain, slings etc.
• Inspect crane for any defective parts and inform the Barge Master
• Cleans and maintains crane
