Position Summary
The
Country Manager – Indonesia will be responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of FMC's business operations in Indonesia. This includes managing the full P&L responsibility and leading the sales and marketing efforts across the region. The role requires matrix management of R&D, Regulatory, Finance, and HRBP activities to ensure business objectives are met. The Country Manager will be expected to champion FMC's core values of

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Implementation:
- Develop the Long Range Plan (LRP) and annual Country Strategic Plan with a focus on market analysis, competitive positioning, and actionable strategies to meet business objectives.
- Execute the implementation plan to achieve the profit and revenue targets for Indonesia.
- Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor market dynamics and competitive positioning, and initiate actions, including pricing strategy adjustments, to counteract competitive threats.
- Financial Management:
- Manage working capital by optimizing the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process, including inventory management, credit terms, and collections to maintain a healthy cash flow.
- People Development & Talent Management:
- Oversee the development of the Indonesian team, focusing on people development, including sales, marketing, and account management skills.
- Build a high-performing team and drive talent development to ensure alignment with FMC's long-term goals.
- Business Development & Partnerships:
- Develop and implement a sustainable and strategic business development roadmap for Indonesia, including product patent registration, legal documentation, distribution channels, and partner development.
- Build and maintain high-level contacts with distributors, institutional accounts, and plantations to create and retain satisfied customers.
- Lead the process of assessing and selecting potential distributor partners and negotiate favorable terms.
- Sales and Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement a Go-To-Market strategy, ensuring the success of product launches and expansion into key distribution channels.
- Ensure marketing and sales strategies align with FMC’s overall objectives for growth in Indonesia.
Job Dimension
- Decision-Making & Recommendations: Lead decisions on country-level commercial business strategy, organizational changes, and business development initiatives.
- Financial Responsibility: Responsible for meeting the Indonesian business target, ensuring cost-effective operations, and achieving profit objectives.
- Geographic Scope: Oversight of all FMC operations across Indonesia, including Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java, and Bali/Nusa Tenggara.
Candidate Profile
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) from a reputable university.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a similar industry, preferably in fertilizers, crop protection products, or seeds.
- A strong track record in business development and sales and marketing in the agricultural sector, including solid networking and familiarity with distributors in Indonesia.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indonesian agricultural market, including regulatory requirements and local dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and aligning business strategies with regional market needs.

Mobility Requirement
- Base Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
- Travel: Frequent travel across Indonesia and ASEAN region as required.
