POSITION SUMMARY
Looking for a sharp, hands-on HR professional who thrives under pressure and finds satisfaction in solving complex puzzles. We’re looking for a Country C&B Specialist (SG & MY) who isn’t afraid to own their portfolio, navigate multiple systems, and tackle challenges head-on. This role is not for the faint-hearted. You’ll need grit, discipline, and the courage to dive into complex processes.
This role involves assessing business and employee needs to develop targeted programs that enhance performance, foster organizational trust, and improve employee satisfaction. The objective is to attract, retain, and motivate high-quality talent while minimizing turnover and strengthening the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end-to-end compensation and benefits programs for Singapore and Malaysia (except payroll processing):
Ensure compensation practices comply with internal pay equity standards and local legislation;
Analyze market trends in benefits, particularly medical and insurance, to develop competitive proposals for annual insurance renewals and forward-looking benefits strategies;
Serve as the Benefits & Leave Administrator, recommending policy revisions to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations;
Collaborate with HRBPs to facilitate career growth progression for all job roles within the organization;
Conduct salary benchmarking exercises and market analysis, both proactively and reactively;
Participate in salary and labour market surveys and generate ad-hoc reports on employment trends (e.g., salary expectation forecasts for the upcoming year);
Training claims;
Conduct C&B onboarding sessions for new joiners;
Partner with HRBPs, business leaders and finance teams to drive budgeting, performance bonus, salary review, long term incentive plans and benefits harmonization;
Run analytics, report on HR metrics, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines;
Support HR process improvements and system integration across platforms (e.g. HRIS, payroll tools, and benefits vendors);
Partner with HRBPs to conduct pulse surveys and focus group discussions to enhance employee engagement and spearheading the activities;
Any other duties as assigned by the head of department that is part of HR business partnering.
WORKING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree;
Minimum 3 years of solid compensation and benefits experience supporting different stakeholders in established MNCs or local international companies with at least 1000 headcounts;
Proven solid experience in HR practices, compensation cycle management (annual bonus, annual increment, budget exercises);
Adequate knowledge of current labour law and regulations;
Knowledge of leading practices and trends in Total Rewards including compensation, benefits, rewards and HR systems;
Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written. The ability to speak a 2nd or 3rd language will be an advantage;
C&B experience in “blue collar” workforce will be a huge advantage;
C&B experience in Malaysia will be a huge advantage.
