A leading community-focused organization is seeking a professional counsellor to provide a range of psychological services to diverse clients, including individuals, couples, and families. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology with substantial experience in mental health services. You'll be responsible for delivering comprehensive counselling, conducting assessments, and supporting community outreach programs while also benefiting from organizational growth and development opportunities.
Purpose of Job:
To provide professional counselling services to youths, adults, seniors, couples, and families in the community. Our clients present with a broad spectrum of mental health, relationship, and other issues. Our community-based counselling services empower persons with mental health and other challenges to recover and live well.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Provide counselling/psychotherapy (individual, couple, and group) in a competent and ethical manner to improve clients’ mental health and well-being and quality of life.
- Conduct psychological assessment and write assessment report.
- Conceptualise and deliver in a competent manner individualised intervention plans and provide case management when appropriate.
- Develop counselling and clinical services and programmes for persons with mental health conditions.
- Comply with the agency’s service standards for counselling practice and the professional code of ethics and conduct for counsellors/psychologists.
- Conduct public educational talks on mental health conditions to the community.
- Attend clinical supervision and case conferences.
- Provide support for agency’s community outreach programmes.
- Provide training for volunteers and identify their training and development needs.
- Participate in professional training/ development activities.
