Job summary

Montfort Care in Singapore is seeking a Counsellor to provide counselling services to individuals and families facing socioemotional and marital challenges. This includes case management for low to moderate risk cases and delivering clinical services through face-to-face or online counselling and group work.

You will develop programmes, conduct crisis interventions, and refer to relevant agencies while engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's in counselling from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience with children, couples and families.
• Proficient in various counselling approaches (e.g. systemic) and tools to help clients' concerns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine counselling cases, including risk and need assessments and delivery of intervention plans across counselling, group work, video, phone and email.
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals to relevant organisations as needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, timely case notes and manage caseloads based on risk and complexity.
• Design and facilitate groupwork sessions and contribute to programme development and evaluation.
