Our client is a prominent shipping and logistics multinational and they are seeking for a detail-oriented and strategic Cost and Contract Management Specialist to manage logistics-related contracts, control costs, and drive value through procurement and supplier performance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, optimizing logistics costs, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management:
- Analyze cost structures across transportation and warehousing.
- Monitor and control logistics expenditures in line with budget targets.
- Work with finance to forecast, track, and report cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with logistics vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure all contracts are aligned with regulatory standards and corporate policies.
- Track key contract milestones, renewals, and performance clauses.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks in commercial agreements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Support tendering, RFI/RFQ processes, and contract award procedures.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure service delivery and cost control.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Maintain databases for contract records and cost performance.
- Generate periodic reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Provide actionable insights from spend and performance data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract and cost management, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, cost models, and contract law basics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and contract management software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
