Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to join our team at GOWell Technology Singapore. The successful candidate will support the financial team in analyzing and controlling manufacturing costs, setting up accounting processes and systems, and ensuring accurate cost reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and ERP system implementation at an operational level.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis & Reporting:

• Monitor and analyze production costs, variance reports, and profitability.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and analysis to support management decisions.
• Develop and maintain accurate product costing models, including standard and actual costs.

Inventory & Material Cost Control:

• Track inventory movement and ensure accurate valuation.
• Monitor material usage and wastage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and conduct periodic stock audits.

System Setup & Maintenance:

• Assist in setting up and configuring the cost accounting module within the ERP system (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
• Ensure accurate input of cost data during the ERP implementation and validate data integrity.
• Collaborate with the finance and IT teams to streamline accounting processes and workflows.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Provide input for pricing strategies by analyzing cost implications.

Process Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies in the production process and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
• Provide insights to support new product launches and project costing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is an advantage to communicating with the Mandarin-speaking staff in China.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Prior experience assisting with ERP system setup, configuration, or enhancement is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Experience with ERP systems.
