Job summary
A manufacturing company in Singapore is looking for an experienced professional to oversee manufacturing costing and standard setting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production teams and ensure accurate reporting and analysis of inventory costs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities
- Involve in the Manufacturing Costing and Standard setting/revision.
- Execute standard costing activities and ensure accurate product costing.
- Prepare annual operating plan and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
- Work closely with Production on inventory management and accounting.
- Analyze production order variances and review inventory reports.

Responsibilities
- Involve in the Manufacturing Costing and Standard setting/revision
- Execute standard costing activities and product are costed appropriately
- Participate in preparation of annual operating plan and monthly/quarterly forecast
- Work closely with Production on volumes, Inventory management & accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Work with R&D on new item/product costing
- Perform timely verification of production postings to ensure proper reporting and accurate reporting
- Analyse production order variances and investigate actual cost vs standard cost
- Review inventory report for any excess and obsolete inventory
- Prepare monthly operation reports, KPI dashboard and data analytics
- Work closely with operations in process improvements and cost control projects
- Perform physical inventory counts including cycle counts and investigate on any discrepancies between books and physical
- Responsible for the month end closing and preparing journal entries as necessary relating to inventory, cost accrual, GIT and inventory adjustment
- Run standard cost revaluation and maintenance of Bill of materials and item master
- Support audit and external request
- Perform any other ad hoc assignments/special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in costing in a manufacturing environment

- Experience in ERP system and familiar with Dynamics 365 would be a plus
