Job description

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project-related tasks in our regional treasury operations and liquidity management across multiple countries/Sony group companies within the AP region. This role ensures efficient cash management, compliance with local regulations, and alignment with global treasury strategies. You will work closely with local finance teams, banks, HQ in Japan, and other regional finance centres based in the UK, US, and China to support business needs and manage financial risk.

What you will be doing

You will participate in two assignments: a project management role and a financial planning role. Below are the details of each role.

Project management role:

1) Crypt treasury strategy and management

  • Collect business requirements for crypt treasury, especially regarding Web3 businesses across Sony group companies in Asia Pacific.
  • Communicate with external partners and internal stakeholders to design management strategies for crypt treasury functions.
  • Implement relevant crypt treasury functions, monitor stable operations, and review/enhance as needed.

2) Other project management tasks

  • Based on business requirements, participate in ad-hoc project management tasks related to group companies in the Asia Pacific region, following instructions from the Branch General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager.

Financial planning role:

  • Credit risk control: assess customer credit risk, support sales companies in risk mitigation, and manage the APAC credit insurance program.
  • Finance governance: implement group finance policies across group companies and report to HQ finance.

What you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Finance, Treasury, and Accounting, preferably in a regional or multinational environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multinational corporation with a market capitalization over 100 billion USD.
  • Proven experience with international banking systems and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Business proficiency in English and Japanese is desirable for handling documents and communication with HQ and regional teams.
  • Effective influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills, with professional writing ability.
  • Willingness to travel overseas.
