Company Overview:

The Energy Market Authority (“EMA”) will be centralising the procurement of natural gas to enhance the security, reliability, price competitiveness and stability of natural gas supply for the Singapore power sector, as part of Singapore’s energy transition. A new corporate entity will be set up to be responsible for the centralised procurement of natural gas. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Corporate Planning Senior Manager / Manager for the corporate entity.

Job Summary:

This role will assist the Management in development and implementation of Corporate long-term goals and strategies. The candidate should have a strong background analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies to ensure for alignment and strategic discussion. The candidate should ideally have strong background in the oil and energy sector in similar capacity. He/She will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the smooth operation and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement corporate strategies and plans to achieve the company’s long-term goals.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends where required alongside the gas portfolio and commercial teams to identify opportunities, and threats. Provide insights and recommendation to senior management.
• Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators with the management for Gasco.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance department to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Project Management: Lead and manage strategic and cross-functional projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with corporate goals.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication of strategic initiatives.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the company’s strategic plans. Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to the corporate planning process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business Admin or related field
• Business acumen, analytical with financial management exposure
• Corporate development/planning experience working closely with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies
• Experience in oil and energy sector business
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Min 8 years of corporate planning related experience with extensive exposure to working with senior stakeholders
